3D origami santa claus

Firstly, merry christmas to everyone :) hope all of you had a great time. Since it's christmas,
I've decided to make a 3D origami santa claus & a christmas tree with a star ornament at the top! Usually for 3D origami like this or maybe a girl, boy, pikachu, doraemon, etc... The base are almost all the same! You juz have to connect them into a circle and slowly fill them up. The only thing that is different is the number of pieces used and the colours :)

So, in this pic, up to here, before u fill the last row with white pieces, put 4 pieces in the center first. (each piece goes 2 points) &, for the eyes and the mouth, the pieces aren't going to any point, juz slow it in between pieces.

This is how it should look after you fill rest of the row with white pieces. 4 peach colour in the center, remaining are to be filled with white pieces & after that 1 more row of white. For that 1 more row of white, 1 piece goes into 3 points.

In close up, it should look something like this :)

After that, filled it with a row of inverted red pieces.

After the inverted row, add 3 more rows of red(don't need to invert anymore) 1st row as per normal white the 2nd and 3rd row, 1 piece goes into 3 points. For that little white piece on the top (it's the same as the arms) , juz take a normal piece, open it up, it will look like a triangle, fold the center part up, and close the piece back. Slot the piece in juz into the center of the top after that. If you're afraid that it's not stable, you may use hot glue to stick it. But for me, I use double sided tape. This pic below should be how your santa should look like at the back.

While this is how it should look from the front :)

Overall~

For this picture below, it's a picture of the santa claus that I've juz made and also a chirstmas tree! The christmas tree is not a hard thing to make, juz search them online :) It's all the same step! But for the star ornament at the top, it's quite a hard thing to do, as there's alot of folds. I will post it up next time when I'm free :) and next, those cards below are the christmas cards that I'm giving to my friends. On each side, there's a origami santa hat that I've stick on the envelope~ I'll post that up next time also. Stay tune!

Mini pikachu/Cube

This is something real simple and adorable.. I don't have the steps to make this but I believe you can juz go search online for this as the steps are simple, easy to follow and little. After u are done with the folds, open them up and blow into the hole & it will puff up after that! Basically, what makes me think that this is cool?

You see, actually I didn't had the intention to make a pikachu, as what I wanted was a cube, but there's this part where you are suppose to fold the 2 points in (which is the ears now) makes it into a cube. BUT.... it's like quite boring right? juz one simple cube like this.. So, I decided to unfold those 2 parts and make them the ear! And amazingly, it works perfectly fine :) After you are done, juz get a red and black marker to draw the ears, eyes, mouth, nose and cheeks!

What I draw may not be very nice, coz I think I suck so badly at doing drawings that have to draw both sides equally. & yes definately, I believe anyone that's juz gonna learn this would do a better job den me. Have fun!

Colourful box

I think I should start off with a simple and basic one... that mostly people will do. This is a colourful box that I've made. To make this box, you'll need 4 different colour square paper, of the size that you want.

This is how it looks. (FRONT)
& the (BACK)

Here's a image tutorial on it... Hope it will be easy to understand :)

Introduction

Well, I've always wanted to create this blog for long bcoz I've found interest in origami, so I wanna share everything that I've done to people who are like me =) But the sad thing is, I can't be having tutorials and uploading here bcoz, for some I've already finished them long ago and I only had the picture of the ending product. But for those that I'll be making recently, I'll try my best to teach ^_^ I do both 3Ds n 2Ds FYI :) Some would be real easy & simple so kids could learn too!

I didn't learn this all by myself, but some videos n web thought a lil and I juz slowly continue exploring with the remainings. & some that I've learned, I didn't do the exact same thing but I edit a little so it'll be much more unique!

Next, for people who are interested in buying or have any ideas or maybe even keen of learning, maybe u could tell me! Feel free to do so! I will start posting pictures tomorrow when I've time!
